PROCEDURE

Verifying Kirchoff's Current Law

  • (i) Connect the components as shown in the diagram
  • (ii) Vary the values of resistances of R1, R2 and R3 to get corresponding values of A1, A2 and A3. Make sure that proper sign is given to value obtained depending on flow of current (from positive terminal to negative terminal of ammeter)
  • (iii) If the algebraic sum of ammeter readings A1, A2 and A3 equal zero, Kirchoff's Current Law is said to be verified.
